Sil-Vex Engineering was founded in 1998 to design and manufacture mechanical seals and associated products for pumps, chemicals, petrochemicals, refinery, marine, sugar, pharmaceuticals, waste water, textile machinery, oil and gas — and virtually every industry that runs on rotating equipment.

Our Story

From a Jogeshwari gala to plants across India and the Gulf.

We started with a simple brief: build seals that perform as well as the expensive international brands, at a price and lead time that Indian plants could actually work with. Every design that leaves our works today still answers to that brief.

Our engineers carry deep field experience of mechanical seals, support systems and rotating equipment, which lets them diagnose a failed seal quickly and recommend the right fix — not just sell a replacement.

  1. 1998

    Works founded in Mumbai

    Sil-Vex Engineering begins designing and manufacturing mechanical seals for pumps and rotating equipment.

  2. 2000s

    Range expands across seal families

    Elastomer bellow, single & multi spring, wave spring, conical spring and cartridge seals join the catalogue, alongside SS helical and wave springs.

  3. 2010s

    Agitator & hard-face seals

    Dry-running agitator seals and silicon carbide, ceramic and tungsten carbide face materials added for chemical, pharma and petrochemical duty.

  4. Today

    India and the Gulf, round the clock

    58+ seal types in production, engineers on call across India, and a growing footprint into Gulf refineries and process plants.
